Create a product
Build a digital product or a link in the Pineway product editor, then save it as a draft or publish it.
Start from Products and select New product, then choose the type that matches what the customer should receive:
- Digital product for files you upload or an external delivery link. It can be free or paid, and it gets its own checkout page.
- Link for a card that opens another website. It has no price and no checkout.
Select Next: Customize to open the editor for the type you chose. The choice is made once, at the start — an existing product cannot be switched between the two.
Build a digital product
The digital product editor has three tabs, and you can move between them in any order. On a computer or tablet, the preview beside the editor updates as you work and follows the open tab.
Product card
Product card controls how the product appears on your Pineway page and how customers receive it.
- Under Card style, pick a Layout — Simple, With button, or Featured. Simple leaves the card description and button off, so the other two are worth choosing when the product needs a sentence of explanation on the card. You can also upload a Thumbnail; the editor recommends a 400 × 400 pixel image up to 5 MB.
- Under Card info, enter the Title customers see on the card, up to 50 characters. The With button and Featured layouts add a Description of up to 100 characters and a required Button text.
- Check Customise link under Product URL. Pineway builds this from the title as you type, but you can rewrite it before publishing so the address reads well when you share it. Each product URL has to be unique within your account, so a name you have used before needs a change here.
- Under File upload, choose how customers get the content:
- Upload file stores the files with Pineway and hands them over after checkout. You can add more than one, up to 5 GB in total.
- External link sends customers to an address you host elsewhere. Both
the display name and the URL are required, and the URL has to start with
http://orhttps://.
- Under Price, choose Free or Set price. For a paid product, enter the amount and pick the currency — US dollars, euros, UAE dirhams, or Nigerian naira. The currency belongs to the product, so different products can be priced in different currencies.
Product checkout
Product checkout is the page a customer reads before they buy. Its Description and Call-to-action button are both required, so a product cannot be published without them.
- Add a Cover image if you have one. The editor recommends 1920 × 1080 pixel image up to 5 MB. It appears at the top of the checkout page and in the checkout summary.
- Write the Description. This is where a customer decides whether the product is for them, so it carries more weight than the short card description. Highlight any text to style it, and use lists for what is included.
- Set the Call-to-action button text. This is the label on the button customers select to start checkout, so name the action rather than the product — “Download the planner” rather than “Planner”.
Checkout always collects a name and email address, and those two fields cannot be changed or removed. Collecting anything else at product checkout is not available yet.
More options
More options covers what happens after the payment goes through.
- Write the Confirmation message Title and Message. Customers read this on the screen where their download appears, so it is the right place for anything they should do next.
- Under Email receipt, rewrite the Title and Body so the email sounds like you. Pineway sets the Subject and adds the link back to the customer’s library, so you don’t need to include one.
Pineway pre-fills the confirmation message and receipt. You can keep that copy when it already gives customers the next step they need.
Build a link
A link is a single screen, Customise your link, with no price, no checkout, and no product URL of its own — it lives on your Pineway page and sends people straight out.
- Under Card style, choose No image, Simple, or With button. The last two show a thumbnail, so No image is the one to pick when you want a plain row of links rather than a wall of cards.
- Enter the Link destination. It has to start with
http://orhttps://, as inhttps://example.com/newsletter. - Enter the Title customers see, up to 50 characters.
- On the With button layout, add the Description and Button text that appear on the card.
Save a draft or publish
Both Save & exit and Publish validate every required field across every tab first. If something is missing, the editor lists each problem above the toolbar; select an item in that list to jump to the field that needs it.
- Save & exit stores the product as a Draft. Drafts stay in Products and do not appear on your page.
- Publish makes the product live. A digital product becomes reachable at its product URL, and both types get a card on My page.
After publishing, use Copy URL on the digital product’s row whenever you need its public link.
Reopening a published product changes the two buttons: Update saves your edits and keeps it live, and Unpublish takes it off your page while keeping it in your account.
